Biography
Professional Interests & Philosophy of Care: Dr. Laura Talamo is passionate about oncology because it allows her to make a meaningful impact in her patients’ lives during some of their most challenging moments. She believes in a care philosophy rooted in education and partnership, ensuring patients feel informed and empowered throughout their treatment journey. Dr. Talamo is committed to helping individuals understand their diagnosis, feel supported, and know they’re never alone. She was drawn to Grande Ronde Hospital for its strong sense of community and dedication to high-quality, local care. Through tele-oncology, she’s excited to expand access and provide personalized treatment to patients near and far.
Personal Interests: Outside of work, Dr. Talamo enjoys spending time with her husband and their two young daughters on Cape Cod. She’s an avid runner and especially loves training for half marathons. Reading is another favorite pastime, offering her a chance to unwind and recharge. As she settles into her new role, she looks forward to becoming part of the Grande Ronde community and building meaningful connections with her patients.
