Grande Ronde Hospital & Clinics is pleased to welcome Laura Talamo, MD, to the GRH Hematology & Oncology Clinic. Dr. Talamo joins us from Duke University’s Division of Hematology, where she served as an Assistant Professor of Medicine and earned a reputation for compassionate, patient-centered care.
A Patient-Centered Approach
Dr. Talamo is committed to helping patients understand their diagnosis, feel supported throughout treatment, and make informed decisions about their care. She partners closely with patients to ensure that every care plan reflects their individual goals and priorities.
“It’s a privilege to care for patients during such an important and often difficult time. I find meaning in helping them understand their illness, feel supported, and know they’re not facing it alone.”
— Laura Talamo, MD
Expanding Access to Oncology Care Close to Home
With Dr. Talamo joining Patrick Archie, MD, Lea Carpenter, AGNP-C, and the GRH oncology nursing team, patients across Union County and the surrounding region will continue to benefit from high-quality cancer care close to home. The clinic’s hybrid model—combining in-person visits with telehealth support—makes specialized oncology services more accessible for rural patients.
About Dr. Talamo
Outside of her work in medicine, Dr. Talamo enjoys spending time on Cape Cod with her husband and two young daughters, as well as running and reading.
