Welcome, Dr. Josiah Ward, Pediatrician

Grande Ronde Hospital & Clinics is proud to welcome Dr. Josiah Ward, DO, FAAP, to our Pediatric Clinic. Dr. Ward is a board-certified pediatrician who brings years of experience caring for children and families in both military and civilian settings.
Before joining GRH, Dr. Ward served as Chief Medical Officer at La Esperanza Clinic in Texas and as a United States Air Force physician at Goodfellow Air Force Base. His background includes medical leadership, direct patient care, and mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals.
Dr. Ward describes pediatrics as a calling:
“It offers the opportunity to have a lasting positive impact on a child’s and family’s life, to witness growth and development, provide guidance on healthy living, and experience the world from a child’s playful perspective,” he said. “Helping families raise healthy children makes the work deeply fulfilling and meaningful.”
A husband and father of seven, Dr. Ward believes in creating a care environment where every patient feels valued, respected, and supported. He was drawn to GRH’s mission and to the welcoming spirit of Eastern Oregon, sharing that he has “a heart for rural healthcare” and looks forward to exploring the beauty of the Grande Ronde Valley with his family.
When he’s not in the clinic, Dr. Ward enjoys hiking, camping, music, and theater.
