Thanks to the generous support of donors as well as the Roots and Wings Foundation and their multiyear grant to the Healthier Together Campaign, the Foundation has proudly funded a range of enhancements to benefit children and families across our region.

In our Women's & Children's Clinic and the Union and Elgin clinics, newly installed wall-mounted toys now provide safe, engaging and educational play experiences for young visitors. Alongside these additions, the Foundation funded updated hearing and vision screening devices. These are essential tools for early childhood development and the early detection of sensory challenges.

Welcoming our newest community members

Since fall 2023, the GRH Family Birthing Center has experienced an impressive 40% increase in births, highlighting the growing trust local families place in our care. In response, the Foundation has helped the Center expand its resources to make sure new parents and their babies receive the highest level of comfort and support.

Recent additions include convertible couches and sleeper chairs for family comfort, modern bassinets for our newest community members, and an advanced airway clearance tool to support safe deliveries and newborn care.

These investments are part of our commitment to making health care more welcoming, accessible and effective for all families in Eastern Oregon.
