GRH kicks off fundraising for new equipment

The Grande Ronde Hospital Foundation held its first fundraising event for the current fiscal year on June 22, 2017, with a Rooftop Social on the beautiful rooftop terrace at the Hospital.

Attendees enjoyed fantastic food from the GRH Dietary Department, along with regional beers and wines, while listening to amazing jazz music from Pendulum Swing, a local band that was a big hit! The focus of the evening was to highlight the previous years’ successes while also kicking off this next year’s fundraising projects.

The first patient-centered project the Foundation will be funding is new treatment chairs for the Infusion Clinic. These chairs have motorized recliners that allow our patients to sit comfortably without needing the physical size or strength to manually recline the chairs. These patients are required to sit for long periods of time for their infusion therapy, so any old recliner just won’t do. The Foundation is also funding a wireless fetal monitor system for the Family Birthing Center. This will allow expecting mothers to have their vital signs, as well as their baby’s, monitored using a wireless system, which allows them to stand and walk around freely.

The Foundation will also be funding an exam chair for the ENT Clinic, two convection ovens for the Dietary Department and a ureteroscope for the operating room.

The Foundation will be holding events throughout the year. You can be involved in these projects or any of our events by contacting the Foundation at 541-963-1431 or online at grh.org/foundation/donate-now.
