The Grande Ronde Hospital Foundation hosted the inaugural Foundation Gala, themed “Black and Pink,” on Saturday, March 18, featuring exclusive dinner service by Merlyn’s Catering and an hourlong performance by renowned mentalist and “Master of the Mind” Guy Bavli. This event focused on fundraising for a new 3D mammography machine to be placed in Grande Ronde Hospital’s Women’s Clinic.
Seventy attendees enjoyed the “Pink Tie” event, snapping red carpet style photos as they arrived and enjoying a social hour meeting new Foundation supporters and connecting with past friends. Just before dinner was served, Foundation Manager Patrick Flynn gave a presentation about the Foundation’s history and accomplishments in recent years, shared patient stories, and talked about the Foundation’s future and the importance of its relationship with Grande Ronde Hospital and the community moving forward. Following a fantastic dinner, Flynn introduced Bavli, the mentalist, who performed feats of the mind, illusions and audience participation tricks.
The event was able to raise $16,000 for the 3D mammography machine, which will be installed and up and running this spring. Thank you to all who were able to attend—and also to those who sponsored or donated to the gala!
