Notes
Professional Interests: Mary has a passion for changing the dominant understandings of mental health and addiction that create judgment rather than compassion. She believes that mental health patients are MORE, not less than the norm and loves to support the carrying of what she calls “Gifts with Fangs.” Of particular interest is helping those with eating disorders, mood and emotion dysregulation, and parenting challenges. She believes that the world needs what our patients have to offer and empowers them to live fully with what challenges them most.
Personal Interests: Mary loves being outside and grew up hiking, swimming in irrigation ditches and learning how to tolerate city life. She lived school years in Seattle and was a farm kid during summers in Central Washington. She currently builds rock walls for sanity and rides a Triumph Tiger 800XC.
