Professional interests: Debbie joins the GRH team offering her expertise in children, parents and family systems. As a former crisis worker, she carries a strong belief that individuals thrive when they dare to revisit their "roots" and repair developmental trauma. Debbie understands that "hearing" and "seeing" a client from a bio/psycho/social perspective opens the door to customized and attuned care. Specialty areas include: anxiety, depression, mood/emotion dysregulation, self esteem, codependency, trauma and substance abuse.
Personal interests: Debbie has called La Grande her home for the past 34 years. After raising her five children here, she now gets to enjoy flying kites with her grandchildren. She loves to spend time in the woods, picking huckleberries, hiking and rock hounding. Being a trained singer, pianist and African drummer, Debbie strongly believes in the therapeutic effects of music and movement. During cold weather, she likes to read "nerdy" books about neuroplasticity.
