Hospice Care

For nearly 30 years, Grande Ronde Hospital Home Care Services has set the standard for quality and compassion when caring for the patients and their families in our community.

We believe: OUR WORK IS LIFE.

Hospice is a type of care that focuses on the quality of life. This is a team-oriented philosophy when a patient’s care shifts from aggressive treatment to focusing on comfort and dignity, received at home while surrounded by family and friends. Our skilled hospice team will help to guide, educate, comfort and support patients and loved ones. We go beyond healing the sick or comforting the grieving. We believe all our efforts are life-changing and life-affirming.

We believe in the importance of providing all the key elements when it comes to hospice care; physical, social, spiritual, and emotional when caring for our hospice patients and their families.

Many health plans help cover Hospice services; as do some local civic, charitable and religious organizations. Medicare and Medicaid may also cover Hospice for those who qualify. Hospice care is appropriate for patients with conditions not considered to be curable; with a prognosis of six months or less.
