What We Do
The GRH Cardiology Clinic provides general, preventive, and consultative cardiology services to the Grande Ronde Valley and beyond. Our team specializes in diagnosing, treating, educating, and managing a variety of cardiac diseases and conditions including hypertension, heart failure, coronary artery disease, and more. Led by board-certified cardiologist Gerrie Gardner, DO, FACC, FACP, the multi-disciplinary cardiology team is comprised of a registered nurse, echocardiography technician, nuclear medicine technologist, respiratory therapy technicians, and support staff – all working together to help you manage your heart health.
GRH Cardiology services include:
Diagnosis, treatment and management of cardiovascular abnormalities:
- Heart failure and coronary artery disease
- Hypertension and cholesterol abnormalities
- Vascular disease including aorta and extremities, including care after a heart attack
- Valve abnormalities
- Arrhythmias including atrial fibrillation and ventricular arrhythmias
- Management of cardiac devices including pacemakers, defibrillators and loop recorders
- Echocardiography, stress echocardiography and transesophageal echocardiography
- Stress testing and nuclear cardiology
- EKG, ultrasound and CT
If you have an acute coronary event, we have strong relationships with hospitals in the region and will provide assistance arranging transfer, return and follow-up care as necessary. Whether you are treated within the walls of Grande Ronde Hospital, or require transfer to another facility, rest assured the cardiology team will ensure you receive the quality and compassionate care you deserve.

Who We Are
The Cardiology Clinic is led by Gerrie Gardner, DO, FACC, FACP
Dr. Gardner has practiced rural general cardiology and invasive cardiology for 20 years. She is a vibrant and patient-focused cardiologist, with special interests in women and heart disease. She has worked across the western United States holding several clinical leadership roles. She began her practice in Carson City, Nevada, then working in southeastern Wyoming and the panhandle area of Nebraska. She comes to GRH from Everett, Washington, and looks forward to developing her rural practice here in La Grande.
