Hospital news | Tuesday, March 17, 2020

Contact: Mardi Ford

In order to protect our patients, our employees and our community from the spread of COVID-19, effective March 18, 2020, Grande Ronde Hospital will implement a NO VISITORS policy until the situation changes.

The ONLY exception to this policy will be to allow ONE support person for the laboring and recovering mothers and newborns in our Family Birthing Center (FBC).

Thank you for your patience and understanding as we take our responsibility to protect our patients very seriously.

COVID-19 is highly contagious. If you have any of the following symptoms OR have recently been exposed to COVID-19 or exposed to people symptomatic of COVID-19, please stay home and call your provider for next steps.

In addition, please be aware of the current state and federal guidelines with regards to social distancing and how the virus can spread. It is possible to not show any symptoms, or only mild symptoms, and still be a carrier.

Know the signs and symptoms of COVID-19 (below), and do the right thing by not spreading the COVID-19 virus:

  • Mild to severe respiratory illness
  • Cough with fever
  • Shortness of breath

We understand this is a disappointment and inconvenience, but we have enacted this policy for the protection of our patients, who are your family members or friends.
