On Tuesday, February 19 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm at Grande Ronde Hospital, 900 Sunset Drive, La Grande, Kendall Cook from Medtronic will present an update on insulin pumps and real-time continuous glucose monitoring technology. The new technology can allow you to know your glucose levels 24 hours a day. Diabetes is a disease in which blood glucose levels are above normal. Most of the food we eat is turned into glucose, or sugar, for our bodies to use for energy. So, if you have diabetes, you know how important it is to know your glucose levels and keep blood glucose levels from going too low or too high On Thursday, February 21, from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm, Podiatrist Stacey Clarke will share information on keeping your feet and lower legs healthy and what to do if you have a sore or injury. Both classes are part of the monthly DIABETES BOOT CAMP – a series on the basics of self-care and healthy living, held at Grande Ronde Hospital. For more information call 541-963-1495.
