Approximately 250 people gathered at the Regional Medical Clinic, 506 4th Street, on May 2 for a ribbon cutting, clinic tours and demonstrations and to meet the eight physicians who staff the RMC. For each one of those in attendance, Grande Ronde Hospital donated $4 per person, or a total of $1,000, to local food banks. The winner of our grand prize drawing for a $300 gift card was Mr. Tom Gurney of La Grande.

Clinic Manager Donna Louden and her staff did a wonderful job of conducting toursduringthe open house. So many people expressedhow impressed they were by all features the clinic has to offer. More than one visitor stated they had comespecifically to meet the new physicians, as they were looking for a primary care provider. Many others commented on the event itself – how delicious the food that was prepared and served by Class Act Catering, and how lovely the music provided by Leslie Hasse on flute, Noelle Guttenberger on violin and Gwen Antell on cello.
People came and went, stayed and chatted and generally had a lot of fun. The long months of construction and effort to make the clinic a state-of-the-art facility, the likes of which are found nowhere else in this region, were obvious to everyone who attended.
