Hospital Adds Mobile MRI Services

In keeping with its mission to ensure access to quality health care, Grande Ronde Hospital has contracted with Mobile MRI of Idaho to provide imaging services in addition to our own MRI unit. The mobile unit will be at GRH one day a week for at least the next six months.
The addition of a second MRI unit is necessary to meet the current increased demand for MRI diagnostic testing. Having the additional unit will allow the Hospital to schedule patient appointments with fewer delays and shorter wait times.
“Over the last year, our Imaging Department has seen a significant increase in demand for its services,” said Carl Bond, senior director of clinical services. “The purpose of adding this second MRI unit is the same as why we built a second digital mammography suite — to improve patient access to diagnostic testing.”
MRI Mobile of Idaho is based in Boise. They provide mobile service throughout Idaho, eastern Oregon and eastern WA and Montana.
