Happy Holidays from the GRH Foundation
Contact: Patrick Flynn

As 2020 draws to a close and we enter the Holiday Season and reflect, we at the Grande Ronde Hospital Foundation are humbled and astonished by the outpouring of support from our community and beyond. Gestures of love, support, and appreciation have poured into the Hospital and Clinics, boosting the morale and spirits of our staff: donations of hand-made masks and spare medical-grade personal protective equipment (PPE) to augment our critical supplies, a drive-by with lights and sirens from our fellow first-responder partners, beautiful sidewalk art and painted rocks with encouraging messages, snacks, beverages, clothing, hand-made cards with well wishes from children within our community, and so much more! Generous donors even purchased pizza for all of our 750 staff members.
Specific to the Foundation, the support of our donors, sponsors, and extended Foundation family was overwhelmingly reinforced as we made the difficult decision to postpone our annual Gala - our largest fundraiser - and nearly all of our ticket holders chose to hold their tickets for whenever the event is able to occur, rather than asking for a refund. The annual golf tournament was restructured to be a one-day, “COVID friendly” event featuring an online auction for the first time. What an incredible turnout! Thanks to the sold out player spots, many, many sponsors, and eager participants in both the raffle and online auction, we raised as much money in one day as we have in the past with a three day event.
With all of this in mind, on behalf of the entire Grande Ronde Hospital and Clinics family, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. It means more than you could know. The support of our community and donors is incredible, and we can’t thank you enough.
Looking forward, we ask that you consider a different type of support. Consider making a tax-deductible gift to the Grande Ronde Hospital Foundation to support our patient care projects, ensuring the long-term viability of our hometown health care.
To make a gift, click here and complete the donation form. You can make a one-time gift, or establish a recurring gift with payments on your schedule.
Your support will ensure our amazing staff has the best equipment and tools available to care for our friends, family, and neighbors. Our current fundraising goal is to purchase a new x-ray machine to be installed in our Urgent Care facility in Island City. This equipment is important so patients can have x-rays taken during their visit, rather than having to go to another building or facility to have them done.
Past Foundation projects include:
- Dialysis machines for ICU, helping reduce the second leading cause of patient transfers to out-of-area hospitals.
- The Sim-Man training simulation system, providing a high-tech, dynamic training system for our staff.
- 3D Mammography machine, increasing the accuracy and detection of breast cancers, leading to more treatment options when detected early.
