Good Shepherd HCS President and CEO Retires after 31 Years

Good Shepherd Health Care System (GSHCS) President and CEO Dennis Burke retires on September 30, 2020 after 31 years at the helm of the Hermiston, OR organization.
On behalf of Grande Ronde Hospital and Clinics, we wish Mr. Burke all the best in the next chapter of his amazing journey. And we thank him for all he has done over his long career to further the interests and endeavors of rural medicine in Eastern Oregon.
His leadership and efforts to promote the visibility, empower the voice, and grow the strength of rural health care in Oregon at the local, state and national levels is a legacy for which we all benefit today. We are grateful for pioneers and leaders like him in rural medicine. He is the longest-serving CEO for the GSHCS, after joining that organization in 1989.
