LA GRANDE – The first baby of the New Year has arrived at Grande Ronde Hospital! Parents Allyson Smith and Keb Knight welcomed their first child, baby girl Violet Lin Knight at 4:40 p.m. on Monday, January 3. Violet was born at six (6) pounds two (2) ounces, measuring 18 ½ inches long.

To celebrate her arrival, Violet’s family were presented with a gift basket overflowing with diapers and gifts from the GRH Auxiliary, as well as a quilt from the Quilt Questers on the afternoon of January 4. Although unable to congratulate them in person, the Auxiliary passed along their congratulations and well-wishes to the family.
