Requirements: Graduate of an accredited University Program approved by the American Speech Language Hearing Association (ASHA). Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) administered by ASHA. Current Oregon Speech Language Pathology license in good standing or ability to obtain Oregon License administered by Oregon Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology and Audiology. Must possess skills in identifying problems, planning and implementing their solutions. Experience in dysphagia evaluation and management preferred.

Special Information: This job is for rotational weekend coverage for approximately one time per month and rotation assist with holiday swallow coverage. Services are provided only in the acute care setting and only for swallow evaluations. Primary role is to assess patient ability to safely eat orally, provide recommendations and training to the patient and family to facilitate safe swallow, and communicate those recommendations to the care team. The SLP is on call from 8AM-5PM Saturday and Sunday and receives standby pay during that time. In addition, if called in the SLP receives call back time to provide patient care.
