Description:

Requirements: Prefer 1-2 years of experience in the medical field preferred. Two years healthcare financial/billing experience preferred. High School diploma or GED required. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent customer service skills. Must function independently and manage individual workload, be flexible, have high personal integrity. Ability to work effectively with others. In-depth knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations and other insurance plans preferred. Knowledge and experience with a variety of information systems and Internet usage. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel and Word. Demonstrates tact and understanding when dealing with patients and staff. Required 35 wpm typing, proficient and accurate 10 key, 25 lbs. lifting. BLS Certification required or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. Able to use or be trained to use office equipment such as computer information systems, credit/debit machine. Physical requirements often require prolonged sitting, some bending, stopping and stretching. Requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate office equipment.
