Requirements: High school diploma or GED, Current Oregon Driver’s license with no restrictions, basic computer skills and good interpersonal skills required. Ability to lift, push, pull and move environmental services equipment and supplies up to 50lbs., with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects up to 25 lbs. Ability to follow oral, pictorial and written instructions.
The Environmental Services (EVS) Technician is responsible for providing a safe, hygienic, and aesthetically pleasing environment for the benefit of patients, visitors, and staff. While executing the assigned tasks, the EVS Worker will have some contact with patients and their family/loved ones. Contact may include physical, psychological, educational, and safety related tasks and should be appropriate to the specific demographics of patients served in assigned service areas. The EVS Technician is also responsible for ensuring timely room cleans, especially as it relates to hospital and clinic patient flow and responds favorably to requests to adjust daily workflow or area assignment to meet hospital/clinic flow needs. The EVS worker, in accordance with standards of quality, is an essential contributor to hospital and associated clinics disinfection and infection prevention plan and processes.
$13.12 - $13.91 starting, DOE/DOQ, plus shift differentials when applicable
