Grande Ronde Hospital is a private, not for profit, Critical Access Hospital (CAH). It is comprised of 25 beds, a Family Birthing Center, Home Care Services covering Home Health and Hospice, and a broad range of diagnostic, surgical and therapeutic outpatient services. The Hospital's mission is:

We will ensure access to superior quality, affordable health care for all those in need of our services, including underserved populations within our community.

The Hospital also has a Vision Statement that reads: We will be recognized as a premier small and rural health system based on the quality of our clinical services and effective outcomes, the contemporary and compassion of our staff, our application of technologies, our financial performance and value of services, our creative and skillful leadership, and our emphasis on health promotion, patient education and disease prevention.

Grande Ronde Hospital is the only hospital in Union County, Oregon that covers 2,038 square miles and has a population of over 25,000. There are over 400 employees at Grande Ronde Hospital, making it one of the top employers in northeast Oregon.

Grande Ronde Hospital is accredited by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) and a member of the American Small Hospital Association.
